Hosting Terms
These hosting-specific terms supplement our Terms & Conditions and apply to all managed hosting, email, and domain services delivered by Grid Media.
1. Service scope
We provide managed hosting for websites and related services such as DNS, SSL, and email routing where specified. Service levels and resources (bandwidth, storage, databases, mailboxes) are defined in your selected plan or proposal.
2. Availability and maintenance
Hosting is provisioned on reputable UK or EU data centres with commercially reasonable uptime. Planned maintenance windows are scheduled outside of core business hours where possible and notified in advance when service impact is expected.
3. Security and backups
- We implement security patches, SSL certificates, and platform updates on a managed basis.
- Backups are taken regularly for disaster recovery. Restoration is subject to backup availability and may be chargeable if requested by you.
- You are responsible for securing endpoint devices, passwords, and any third-party integrations you operate.
4. Acceptable use
You must not host unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or use services for spam or abusive activity. Resource-intensive workloads may be limited to protect platform stability. Our Fair Usage Policy forms part of these hosting terms.
5. Incident response
We will respond to critical incidents affecting availability as soon as reasonably practicable. Where an issue results from client-side changes or third-party services, resolution may be chargeable at our standard rates.
6. Suspension or termination
We may suspend hosting where payment is overdue, where use breaches these terms, or to protect the security of the platform. On termination, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to transfer your site and data, subject to settlement of outstanding fees.
